Project Summary
For the immersive exhibition “Cold War to Dance Floor” at Wireless Hill Museum in Melville, we developed a comprehensive suite of visual materials that brought the story of electronic music’s evolution to life. The exhibition, created by Signals Sound Lab—a Fremantle-based art/music collective—explored the transformation of Cold War-era technology into the synthesizers that defined disco, electronic, and experimental music from the 1980s onwards.
Geographik’s contributions included:
-
Full exhibition branding, establishing a cohesive visual identity
-
Promotional posters and large-format designs for museum spaces
-
Wall panel layouts and environmental graphics enhancing visitor experience
-
Digital graphics for social media and online marketing
-
Promotional flyers for print and distribution
The exhibition ran for over a month, drawing diverse audiences through its vibrant, historically informed visuals and interactive sonic installations. Our design approach echoed the exhibition’s themes—merging retro aesthetics with modern design sensibilities to reflect the intersection of history, music, and innovation.
